Well here we are the night before. Fully packed. Bags by the door waiting in shadowy patience till 13.30 tomorrow when we depart dragon drop leaving her in the capable hands of tinanana. We are also leaving her with cats and goldfish and dishwasher. I hope that she enjoys her holiday as much as we do. I also watched a slightly worrying piece on newsnight on May Day demo's. Hope that the size and warnings are media propaganda as we deffinately do not want to be caught up in it. Must get some sleep now and may the stars continue to twinkle above us all sending deep sleep and sweet dreams.

Had a great weekend. Went out for a meal to celabrate Jamie Pearson's birthday at the Salsa Pasada.. Ended up getting quite messy, went to a great gig at the Honest Lawyer (or what ever it's called these days) follwed by a great party at Mike and Haileys. Went to Hull and back yesterday, and today, I'm finalising all my loose ends, ready for the big day tomorrow. One day. I can hardly believe it. I have not actually packed for Australia yet. Going for the 'panic pack' strategy. I've got the feeling that today is going to go really quickly - I've got so much to do. Wrote off an iPaq last night (oops) - but Bernie has sorted me out a new one. Hoping to take it to Australia - it's got a GPS unit, and I'll be able to store watch cam photo's on it. (hopefully !)
T minus 1 day !!

Goodmorning to you all. Another beautiful day here. Getting very buzzed up about our forthcomming adventure. Everything else is deffinately taking a back seat . I am starting to think that maybe we ought to hire another aeroplane for all our stuff [I say our I mean Felix and Jaygo how can beings so small require so much even when you strip it down to basics]. Meeting up with Helen at 12.30 for some tea and chat and maybe a trip to the Arms to let the iccle ones run wild. Should be fun.

After a hectic afternoon round Clifton Moor (retail park near York) we bought a new fish for the tank, (Felix called it Clifford) we scooted home, and got ready to go out. It was Stu Bleasdale's birthday, and we were invited. about 15 of us herded into the top corner of pinocchios restaurant in Harrogate. Several drinks later, we presented Stu with the most powerful water pistol this side of Toys r Us. The evening started to get a bit messy from this point on (Stu managed to hit a waiter at 50 paces.). Several covert vodka's later, via 'Escobar' we ended up at Ikkles house, where we sat around, chatted and played black jack until we were all nearly passing out.
Today, we went to Darlington to say happy birthday to my little bro Paul. Had a really nice Sunday lunch, played a bit of footy in the park, Saw nearly all my relatives up there, including Auntie Sue and Uncle Pete, who told us loads of cool things about Australia.

Happy Fridays !
It's the weekend again. Maria came round last night - one of Eirene's oldest friends who has just come back from traveling. We had a right nice meal, followed by a guided tour (photographically) through some of the places she has been to including South America, Australia, Cambodia and Thailand. Some fantastic photo's and stories. Gave us really itchy feet.... but that's OK, because we are flying out to Australia in 13 days ! we have just sorted out our visa's on-line at www.fastozvisa.com/ - they sell Australian visas for most Euro countries for about £9 (EUR 14). I realy hope it's not a scam !. Even down to the stage where we are working out how we are going to pack and what we are going to take. I'd like to go for the "Pear of strides, 2 T's and a toothbrush" but I'll prolly end up taking shed loads.
Had a shuffle round at work today - musical chairs in the office - I've landed a nice new spot by a window, which makes me happy. A bit more space and lack of people wandering past my back all day. We are now sitting around, having a bit of a stella (Eirene is on Cranberry Archers) and feeling quite happy with life.

Pretty content free week this week. I've had my nose to the grindstone at work. Quite a lot on at the moment. Been tuning into a (well I like it!) Radio station called "philosomatika" - http://www.philosomatika.com. Phy trance / Goa trance... deep... deep.. nice.
Spent the moring in Sherbern this morning (near Scarborough) and I'm supposed to be going round to my mate Al's house tonight to help him sort out his website. ...see... told you it was a content free week so far !

Didn't end up at Havok - Roger had a bad back, Eirene went out round Harrogate with Tina (as you can see from the prior message!) so I decided not to go on my own. ! I ended up playing on iSketch.net for hours - top game ! It's a bit like pictionary but on line. Saturday - Mark's (Brian) birthday, but he got stuck in Sunderland, so we couldn't go out for the birthday bevvy that we planned. Ahh well - went out with Dave and Suzie for a bit - down to the Bell Tavern ('real ale' type pub) Had some hardcore 'suppin ale' weighing in at around 8%. Wuggleworther or something. . Today, we got up at Daft O'Clock to go and do a car boot sale - got rid of a van full of junk and made some cash. Top banana - weather was very nice as well. Sunny and warm.

Hoping to go to Havok in Manchester tonight. It may fall through due to lack of support. Ahh well - it's the weekend. lets see what happens.

Felix Jaygo and I have again been enjoying the unseasonal weather as we bimbled on our missions today. Have noticed for those fellow Stray in bloom lovers that the blossom tunnel fron Leeds r.d to Queens parade is about to explode so get ready to dance among the petals in one of Harrogates prettiest times. Felix has again made it his early morning duty to raid the sweetie drawer prior to Matt and I rising hence the abundant energy spinning in circles manouvers he has been doing all day but I have to report that I dont think he will throw my alarm clock out te window again.

About an hour ago, I watched the latest space shuttle (STS-110) take off live on CNN. You can watch the progress of the mission live on the internet (As I'll be doing over the next few days) As well as live mission control, press conferences and loads of other interesting stuff, you actually get to watch the shuttle, the crew and the ISS live from outer space - now that's what the internet was made for !!

Spent the afternoon, basking in the fresh warm sun up at Druids temple (near Masham) First proper 'T-Shirt' day I've had this year. Felix, Jaygo, Eirene, Simon Wigg, Emma and myself, jumped about, explored sat around and ate bourbon biscuits in this enchanting place. Took a few photo's with a bottom end digital camera - Check out the photo's and links page, here.

JAYGO CAN CRAWL !... well, drag himself along on his belly and move forward anyway. Cool :-) Had a load of lovely folks round for dinner last night. Simon Bleasdale and Caroline (have not met her before - lovely girl - "the boys dun good" for any one who knows Simes but have not met Caroline yet!), Tina na na nanana, Chris and Eirene and myself. Tried to play a game called balderdash - far to complicated. Ended up quaffing loads of vino, me and Simon had a jam on't geetars while everyone else played 'shithead' (card game). Presently supping solpadine to shift the clouds in my head.
