The highlight of the weekend was Vicki’s birthday garden party – BBQ, dogs, wine and kids. Sitting around the camp fire, got onto someone reminding us that we are really close to mars at the moment (BBC says “Mars is at its closest to Earth in 60,000 years” – we were all looking at Mars – bright red dot in the sky. Just then somone shouted “look at that shooting star!!” – one of the best shooting starts I’ve ever seen – lasted about 6 seconds. A truly out of this world few moments. It was good to be out in Humbrum again. The kids slept in their own tent beside the van. Cut down on that horrible smell they create in the mornings.
