Email just in.. I'm patiently awaiting your reply to my e-mail sent to you several days ago,
I must confess to being slightly perturbed at your slow response, also after
checking Dragon Drop I see no mention of last night's outstanding event held
at Bar Med or of my newly polished dance moves which i'm sure you will agree
left most people including the Terry Waite lookalike you had hired ( nice
touch ) gobsmacked.
Dear Kind Sir,
On account of breaking down last nights gig equipment and driving to Cambridge and back today, I have not had chance to publish my warm words of praise and thanks to all the DragonDroplets out there for their support and participation, but please - stay tooned for a cracking collection of photo's and stuff.

Felix lost his first tooth this weekend and I've lost my voice. I feel pretty rough today. Had a good night at spent last night, and a good weekend all in all. Looking forward to Christmas now - just about got all the stuff sorted that I needed sorting. Have not decided on NYE plans yet - a few interestign options have presented themselves.

Again business has kept m away from writing up what’s been happening.
So – the weekend we went across the Pennines to Manchester to have a look at Boom Selection.
Saturday - me old mate osymyso was playing alongside the marvellous DJ food , Poj Master and Eddy Temple Morris (and a few other talented folk besides - check out the main link). If it’s an entertaining night you are after then these chaps will not do you wrong. Mashed up bootleg stuff was played to an unsuspecting crowd. They remained fairly unsuspecting throughout most of the gig but I think even the most unsuspecting were smiling to the bootleg breakbeat mashed bouillabaisse of music.
The night was utterly let down in my opinion by the venue. The Dry Bar, once a respected venue that respected music, now seems to be a venue that couldn’t give a monkeys as long as the punters were there, drinking. 2 main things stood out – the PA – or lack of it was one of the worst I’ve heard. It popped halfway through osymyso’s set and was never the same again. The second – the security – terrible! A fight broke out in front of us and (normally a cue for the security staff to move in). They bouncers stood and watched it diffused itself. It broke out again with the same reaction not once, but twice. The offending parties eventually escorted themselves out. Little did we know but apparently it got really heavy after this and the Manchester tactical ops cops had to come and calm it down outside. Tisk. Still – a good night was had – caught up with old friends met some really pro-active imaginative people and even a relative popped in (Hello Tristan!) to cap the nights interestiness off nicely. Got badly lost on the way home. Ended up in Stockport at closing time. Wobbly people staggering in front of the car like it's my fault. Tisk again.
Sunday – played at Spent – again – a top event - really enjoyed playing this one (on’t congas) mainly thanks to the luxury of having my own monitor!

Not much new to report really - we have got our Christmas tree up and it's looking very pleased with itself. Last night was my first quiet night in for over a week but no rest for the wicked - taking a client out tonight, tomorrow I'm off to a black tie bash, Saturday I've been invited out to my mates gig (osymyso) in Manchester - he's playing with DJ Food who I think is quite superb. Sunday, I'm playing spent. If I can make it that far.

Intervals between blogs are getting longer - I know. Life is v.busy. Friday night I went to an album launch by some up-and-coming band called IV Play. (Four Play). Saturday day (and Sunday Day) I was exhibiting some work at a local exhibition - see www.anima-mundi.co.uk Saturday night I played a gig to a packed revolution vodka bar crowd then a few drinks in the VIP bar in Bar Med. Sunday I played at 'spent'. Got an email from Dave who is currently traveling through India. Sounds like he's having a top time. He complained at the fact I've not mentioned how much I'm missing him. Dave - it's your round. Rack em up.

Fire - what a top party that was!
Early doors, I thought it may be a bit of a damp squib because of heavy rain. The rain did not put off any of the fire acts from getting soaking wet outside doing some amazing fire displays. Inside was just as fiery. It's the busiest I've ever seen it in there (Bar Med VIP bar). The music, provided by (DJ's) Dharma, Cloudbass and Paul Q with Dan Webster over the top on trumpet and me on percussion. It all seemed to work out well. Just about to go and clear out all of our gear now from the venue so I'd better get a move on.
