Chilled out weekend all in all. Went to The Late Lounge to see Scapegoat Kelly - cool as ever. New material sounded cool.

Had friends over to stay from out of town.
A classic Sunday.. text book stuff... Got up late, Got the papers, croissants and jam. Helped Eirene prep Sunday Lunch for 8. Rack of Lamb, yorkies all the trimmings. Watched Ski Sunday, ate loads. Early to bed to read. Nearly finished Da Vinci Code. Gripping stuff. Also reading Deception point. even better.

Also got a stash of photos that MattyB took at the last fire - I'll be sticking a few of those up later..

How does Angels & Demons compare to The Da Vinci Code then? I quite enjoyed it but got annoyed and bored towards the end, and I've read another of Dan Brown's books which I enjoyed but found a bit trashy - would you recommend I read Angels and Demons or not?

Em - Yea - I think (so far) Angels and Demons is better. I'm intrigued as to why you think Da Vinci is trashy - Can't wait to finish it now to find out why! Deception point is superb. It's got a very '24' (as in TV prog) feel to it.

The Da Vinci Code is trashy because it reads like a piece of pulp fiction - but not as good. I started reading it and got bored v.quickly with the very basic writing style. Like the ideas, but the way he strings a sentence together... phf!

I objected *most* strongly to Robert and Sophie getting it on... that was just unnecessary. I'm surprised he didn't have her swooning into his (adopt breathy voice)strong, masculine embrace at the first sign of trouble....

i read a book once, it was called the joy of sex.

crap story but great pictures.

ha ha!
