So far more 100 people have signed up to help out with acts and help in order to make this day a spectacular statement of pride in both our ancient heritage and modern culture. The event will cater to a great many tastes, with more than 30 music acts appearing across three venues, town centre street entertainment, art and childrens activities, talks and even an evening cabaret show in the TimeWatch Cafe. Art displays will be a large part of the activities, with childrens painting workshops, street art and indoor multimedia displays.”
I can’t wait. We (Dalmatian Kebab) are playing 9 – 10pm – just before the top banana’s that are Scapegoat Kelly! along with a whole bunch of other Harrogate Tallent – including 3 out of the 4 acts that were in last Thursday’s battle of the bands final! It seems that most of Harrogate’s musical talent is going on a nice day out to the countryside.
The organisers are still are looking for Music acts, Street Artists, Poets and comedians, Stall holders, Sponsors, People with vans, car park stewards and kids entertainers / face painters etc. (give me a shout and I’ll put you in touch o you can contact the organisers direct through the site.
It sounds like it’s going to be one of ‘THE’ events of the summer.
