Full power 46 hours. Set out at 0930 from Harrogate on a minibus with a collection of stags and the chief stag. 2 crates of beer later we arrived in Edinburgh and met up with the group who flew up form London, after a while the final party joined us in the rather confused bar making the party about 20. The Hampshire and Yorkshire staggerers. North/South boundaries were dissolved (we were all Southerners!). Bar Bar, another bar, some falling over from Baz (oh that’s just the start of it for him – I can’t go into details on DD but if you know him, ask him about it!), some some drinking some club ended up back at the bar in our digs, played pool, drank and had a laff. Got hoofed out of there at 5 am. Found another bar by about 10am – full of some proper characters. The man with the fictional cigar. Got dragged out of there mid afternoon by the Cumberworths who were giving me a lift back to Yorkshire. Bit of kip in the car, bit more when I got home then out to FIRE!
What a night that was. There was some new PA kit – it sounded tops. Walking round town with an airhorn – what was I thinking? very funny. Some ace music, I loved playing along to it, Johnnie Fredericks and Brett’s set were my faves it’s got to be said but all the DJ’s did an amazing job as did Ben Lacey on’t sax. I played pretty much non stop bar a few wanders round – blistered fingers! Wall to wall smiley people, the dance floor was groovin all night had a great vibe going on.
Spent Monday hanging out with Family, ended up goin to Wath to hang out with Brett and Tommy Max (Who’s middle name is Kevin). Ate fish and chips, played rounders, frisby and footy in the sun. Nice day!
There will be some more FIRE photos to follow later in the day.. watch this space!
