That’s something you don’t get every day… I’m freelancing today for amaze near Runcorn. A table top or rather desk top magician is doing the rounds. An interesting interlude. When Eirene used to work for Hewlett Packard, they had shoulder masseuses / masseur come round. Hows about an office FIRE?… perhaps not. What else though?

What a day! Glorious weather. Started out going to Knaresborough for a meeting then went and had a look around Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre. First time I’ve been in. Great space. What a result! England won the Ashes. What are we going to do now? For the last 2 months I’ve had the companionship of a cracking game of cricket. Now what. Ahh well, got some free Champagne down the blues at close of play yesterday.

The shiny new FIRE posters came back from the printers. They look a bit like this:25th September is my actual birthday. What a place to have it!Been out camping this weekend for perhaps the last time this summer. Went to Spiers House again (we went there last year around this time).

Tickets are going for up to £2,500 on eBay and grounds could have sold out four times over. The Oval. Where it all began. The first-ever Test on English soil was played here in September 1880, resulting in an England win over Australia by five wickets. The Ashes. Mad for it.
