This is cool - Harmonica beat boxer (not it's not another ploy to eat your brains as the recent link was)
What a weekend. Sunday, ended up going to the blues bar for a bit and saw a really nice jazz trio. After that I went to Revolution to attend the Sacks summer party. I ended up being invited to play because the guys that were supposed to be turing up didn't. What a great night this turned into! Yesterday was a bit of a blur!

I've just arrived at Bretty's Summer party.
Big PA outside, Dub on the decks, massive steak in the fridge with my name all over, Old Speckled Hen in a glass beside me and the Sun has got it's hat on. What am I doing inside?

OOh - check this out : http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?Dragondrop
Yesterday morning was Jaygo's graduation! It was so sweet - Jigsaw nursery did a grad party for all the wee tots who are going up to big school in September. Proud parents! (and saved a shed load on Uni fees).
After that, Eirene and the boys set off for Ireland to visit relations. Shame I couldn't go.. hello all if you're reading x x . . .
Went out last night for a bit, popped into work today to see some clients and I'm off to a BBQ this arvo - hope the weather holds.

What a mare I've had. Technical conspiracy. My FTP went down to everything - could not publish websites, letting clients down, could not blog, could not upload a big pile of photos that someone needed... argh.. Yesterday was like this all day - luckily it's sorted itself out now.
Went out last night and had a much fun with a couple of friends. Went to Cardinal Sins for a bit. So this morning I thought the technical problems had sorted themselves - nope.. Had the cricket on all day - what a superb morning, thrashing our way through the Australians in 190. Superb. Things were looking up. Got quite a lot done, had a good couple of meetings, things were looking up. Then multiple work problems and crisis kicked in, and England lost the top 5 batters far to quickly. Currently on 79 for 5. Here was me thinking anything less than a 200 target may be achievable. Hmm.. not feeling as confident now.. still tis only day 1. Rats. Whilst typing we've just lost another wicket. 97/7
My little bro is coming to visit tonight, looking forward to that.

Since last bloggage. Thursday night, went to the Stalls Bar to see Scapegoat Kelly play, they were super fine. It was very hot down there so I had to drink copious amounts of beer to compensate. By Friday I was amazed at how quickly the week had flown by. Eirene and I went to the Gallon House (Chefed by Rick from 'Ricks Just for Starters') in Knaresborough. Really nice meal, really nice place. Saturday, not a lot occurred, pottered about in the van before parking up by a little patch of stream near West End and I cooked a big ol fry up. Yesterday, sat around in the back yard reading, eating chilling and drinking. I made a nice Sangria and Eirene sourced a big pot of summer fruits.

Thursday already! this week has flown. Been solo dad for a couple of days - Eirene went to London to see Nine Inch Nails at Brixton Academy. Last night me and the boys went down to the Valley Gardens boating pond to check out the boat the Felix made out of pop bottles. Top boat, it floated and sailed gracefully about the pond. After we'd got home and got the boys to bed a mate came round with a stunning DVD. The plot was a bit confusing, but if you like Samurai stories, Ninja stuff, martial arts, crouching tiger esque vibed period drama then this film you should like. It's name? Zatôichi

Friday night in Leeds went well - Good set from Johnnie Fredericks, me Ben and Jimmy got right into it, freestyling over the top of some top tunes. After that we all piled back to our house for a few hours and had a mini party.
Saturday, Went to a bizarre followed by an afternoon swimming in the River near Ripon.
Sunday - a big day - it was Jaygo's 4th birthday. A few drinks an loads of party food. The kids decided to stay in the house leaving the hot domain of the back yard to us grown ups for most of the day. Really nice time was had by all. Happy birthday my Son!

The Next FIRE is at 'gate, 31st July 05. Chuck another log on it.
Should be a right laff. Strange being in a new venue. Ideally we're looking for someplace that has an outsidey bit so that the girls and boys and poi's can do their thing.
This Friday there are a few of us Fire crew doing a do in Leeds - at cocoon in Millenium Square. Johnnie Frederics, Cloudbass, Mike H as well as me and Ben Lacey on't instrumentation, outside Dalefish, Eirene and co will be spinning fire... 9-2am
If you're borded - check this out. It's a bit funny. Reversing car -

(Photo's to follow..) What a superbly different weekend We've had. Friday night, set off for RAF Waddington near Lincoln. We had tickets for the airshow. Got there and camped out in the van in a pub car park 100m away from the gates. Got up and were just about the first in. Got an AMAZING spot right up front. Spent most of the day on top of the van watching the action. Saw Lancasters with spitfire and hurricane wing escort, tornados, The Red Arrow display team, the new Euro fighter Typhoon (VERY loud and fast) and a whole 7 hours worth of other stuff in the skies. Had a tour of an Awacs
(The one with the big mushroom on top) - Fascinating.
Noticed this slightly doctored sign on the way back home.. made me chuckle.

Yesterday, got up and went fishing to a really nice little pond with a friend. I caught nowt, my friend had a couple of 2lb'ers.

After that I came home collected the family and went tiddler fishing with the boys on the River Nidd. Loads more success here. I fell in, wrecked my phone and then cooked a fry up sarney out the back of the van then came home. Superb weekend.
