Watched Lords of Dogtown (2005) last night. An enjoyable film, based on a true story of the birth of 70’s Skateboard craze. From Surf roots in Venice California a bunch of friends turn into a new breed of rock stars.
Got The Streets new (3rd) Album a couple of days ago – “The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living”. I like. The guy is a poet. The slant of this new album is about what it’s like to be someone who’s made it, just done a major tour, everyone recognises, and the papers hound, yet he still wants to have a bit of his old life. The only let down is that some of the production leaves a bit to be desired. Still though – an ace album with some great story telling and observations.
