What a fantastic culinary experience we had last night. Our mate who’s a chef has just come back from France. As well as bringing back shed loads of quality food and drink, he brought our dinner.
First course consisted of baked globe artichoke heads. Fantastic taste. Baked for about 40 mins, tear off the petals and eat the delicate, delicious flesh at the base of each petal. Work towards the heart then eat that. Dip dip dip in the old garlic butter. Fantastic.
Next up were frogs legs. A classic French food that tastes part fish, part chicken. Again with loads of garlic butter (I must stink today) and sloshing or wine. In between courses we were nibbling on all the other stuff with bread. Mainly the pate which was out of this world. Still stuffed now!
