Dragongate festival was officially very much fun indeed. After hearing nightmare stories from the crew on site about main stages blowing down, roads in resembling a war zone and a catalogue of other worries, I was, well, worried. Turned up on site around 16:30 and was hit by a wall of positivity. Wasn’t expecting that and I think that’s the… Read more →

FIRE was back to a full blazing glory on Sunday. It took a while to ignite – my set sparked a few embers and roots. I really enjoyed it and once I’d got into my head the idea of playing music that I enjoy it made it seem to work. Cloudbass’s set added some fule but Dharma’s set turned it… Read more →
It’s… the 43rd FIRE And I’m really looking forward to this one.. The 43rd one we’ve done by my calculations.. Not been at that venue for a while but it’s a cracking venue. I’m playing a set as Johnnie has had to pull out.. I’ll be doing a brazil / samba / tripped out beats type thing which I’m really… Read more →
I’ve been left to my own devices this weekend. Eirene stayed at her dads for a few more days. Missing them all massively now. It’s the longest I’ve ever been away from them for 10 years. I have however had a rather good weekend. I got loads of work done on Saturday after going out to a gig on Friday… Read more →
It feels that the holiday that just was is now a dim and distant memory. Great time was had by all. After an epic drive down to Wales, getting snagged in Bala Festival traffic, getting caught up in a surreal situation where a road block and flapping policemen wound shed loads of traffic down country lanes resulting in me traffic… Read more →
Interesting weekend. Road tested Clover (A campervan) to make sure she was ship shape for an up-coming longer away mission. She’s fine. Invented a new rain / shelter system using a huge chunk of tarpaulin that we’ve got. Shanty Camping. We were over in Markington near Ripon for a ‘festival’. Quite fun. Ace campsite (just behind the Yorkshire Hussar Inn,… Read more →
Ali and Marcus have got to Peru! They sound like they are having a superb adventure (apart from getting caught up in a riot and getting pepper sprayed). Here we see Ali sporting a fantastic DragonDrop Adventure T-Shirt at what has got to be one of the most famous views in the world.. looking down onto Machu Picchu.
Plump DJs, originally uploaded by DragonDrop. Chucked up a bunch of photos to flickr from my visit to Glade Festival at the weekend. Here’s a stage view shot of (what I considered to be) the best set of the weekend – Plump DJ’s. To visit my Glade Festival 2009 set, click here >>
Got back from Glade festival yesterday afternoon. Superb weekend. I’ve never seen a venue so geographically perfect for a festival as that place. A natural huge amphitheatre who’s crucible was filled with about 10 PA tents, out-door rigs, one main stage and about 100 or so side shows, bars, food joints, shops 10,000 ravers and assorted curiosities. The quality of… Read more →
Jay’s Birthday BMX, originally uploaded by DragonDrop. It’s Jaygo’s 8th birthday today. A massive milestone as far as I’m concerned because we deemed that the appropriate age in our house that one is allowed to make cups of tea (heavy schedule of training to follow). He was pleased at punch with the object (partially) under wraps here – a BMX… Read more →
A big thanks to Ed for sending over the fantastic guide to the Ashes suppliment. As you can imagine, I’m really looking forward to tomorrow (and the following couple of months of said game). Just got myself psyched up for the first day of perhaps the most iconic of contests by watching this fantastic round up by the Test Match… Read more →
A back to nature weekend for us. I was initially a bit worried about the weather – it was forecast to rain pretty much all weekend but by the time we got the our campsite – it was Sunny and pretty much (bar 1 shower per day) stayed like that. Hoggarths campsite just west of Keld in the upper corner… Read more →
