So Jaygo had a Spinal Tap (rock and roll) to relieve intercranial pressure. It was very high apparently – the reading was at 56 something or others (psi?) and it should be around 20 for a Jaygo type human. They managed to get it down to 29 which sounds good. The Doctor that removed them was a doctor who helped look after Top Gear’s Richard Hammond after his 300+ mph car crash, whilst he was in intensive care. A rough night but Jaygo slept till 11am! I’ve just had a meeting with Dr Livingstone. I like him. He is going to speak to E.N.T. in York and see if we can stop IV and go with oral antibiotics instead – that would be a massive win if it would be poss. Jaygo recieved a gift posted all the way from the States today – it created a MASSIVE grin on his noggin. So nice to see. There’s a couple more photos of the moment on my flickr site
Had an appointment with the opthamologist this morning and they gave me a souvenir photo of the back of Jaygo’s eyes.

He is back now. He is fine.
Its about 1.30am and I am waiting for Jay to come back from theatre. A fairly minor procedure on the grand scheme of things – a long line. Having a man I had only met a short while before gas my boy to sleep in front of me then wheel him away is one of the hardest things ever.
My baby boy, originally uploaded by DragonDrop. There’s something very comforting about watching him sleep. Ups and downs kind of day. He’s just had a bath though and was fairly wobble free on the way to and from the bathroom.
Back at the hospital. Just wanted to drop a quick blog to say dont worry , I’m cool. So Jaygo is making progress bit it is slow going. A lot of the pain has gone but the sickness is on and off a bit more . He has burst of feeling good then bursts of feeling bad. Just had visits… Read more →
