Such a relief getting rid of Jaygos cannula yesterday evening. The Doctor that removed them was a doctor who helped look after Top Gear’s Richard Hammond after his 300+ mph car crash, whilst he was in intensive care. He told him about the helicopter and how it landed on the roof and such. A perfect story to distract a 9 year old boy child with!
A very good nights sleep was had by both of us – due to them not needing to give Jaygo any intravenous medicine.
Jaygo is shortly going back into the operating theatre – (in about 40 mins – I will tweet updates on the fly ) he’s having a, ‘spinal tap’ or ‘lumbar puncture’ as it is also called. This is to reduce intracranial pressure and should help get rid of his converging eye / double vision amd sickness problems. Hope so.
