So Jaygo had a Spinal Tap (rock and roll) to relieve intercranial pressure. It was very high apparently – the reading was at 56 something or others (psi?) and it should be around 20 for a Jaygo type human. They managed to get it down to 29 which sounds good. I was there when he came round – very ratty and upset but soon started to chill as we fed him. His ‘if you could have anything, what would it be’ food wish came true with a BLT sandwitch. He liked it so much we went and got him another on and he had that too. One of the main worries about the pressure from having too much intercranial fluid (which I thonk was a knock on effect of the infection) was that it could have started to damage his eyes – or the nerves behind them. Early days yet, but I think his eyes looked straighter than they were.
Really hoping that this is the final straight now. Thanks to everyone for their continued support, love and prayers.
