You may recall a post from a couple of months ago, when I was foretelling the adventures of Richard Fountain – who was en route to as far as you can go.
Well – he’s been in touch – he’s recently been comms down on an intercontinental journey across the South Atlantic Ocean – from Africa to South America. The front of his virtual postcard features the picture above, the back;

Hope alls’s good your end.Just sitting in a rainy curitiba brazil contemplating a stroll to the bus staion to buy a ticket to paraguay.We never made it to Rio I’m afraid but please find attached a dd pic of me onboard the Grande Amburgo just off the coast of brazil with my young korean friends Muni and Miri who sailed with me (and their father!) from Dakar to Santos. their dad is going to be biking them around south america.they did something similar in europe.Kim (the dad) was professor of eastern philosophy at hamburg university but chucked it in.
