I’ve tweaked a category definition, here on DragonDrop Adventures, that I wasn’t that happy with. The category formally known as “Photos” is now called Photographic. It started out life as a category just for posts containing photos I’ve taken. I’ve recently hijacked it to talk about the field of photography. If you put photos and photography together in a pot what have you got? Photosography. That’s what. Taxonomy generally works better though, if it’s based on verbiage that you’ve not just invented. The nomenclature I’m settling on, for the sake of covering both of these feathered avifauna, with the same geological hardware is ‘Photographic’. The syntax I’ve gone with, to defined said category is “Posts that are about photography, or have notable photographic content.”. So there.
I’d better get on with the show really.
Last night, I uploaded a set to flickr, of test shot images from my new camera – a Leica AF-C1. These are direct scans, done by Boots the Chemist, Nottingham using their 1 hours service. I shot Kodak Ecktar 100. This shot, is just ever so slightly blurred. Gutted. I love the colours and feel of it. I like the focal plane – just a few specs of dust on the table.
Here’s an obligatory test shot of some fruit on a market stall. Again, just ever so slightly blurred (camera shake I think – I forced ‘no flash’). It was a very dull day, and I was shooting 100 ASA film…
Still – fairly pleased with the results. Click here to visit the full set, on my flickr. I posted off couple of other films yesterday from other cameras, to be processed. One of which has been kicking around a draw for years. I’ve no idea what’s on it! #excitedface
