“HUUUURH! where is this young gallant that is so desirous to lie with his mother earth?” is a line from this scene in The Abbey Shakespeare production of ‘As You Like It‘, that Jaygo nailed last summer. Both Jaygo and Felix (my sons) feature in this fantastic scene (as part of the rent-a-mob) along with the stars of the scene Will and Ed – the guys doing the fighting bit – also brothers.
Even thought it was only last August, it seems like a lot longer ago. We’d only just found out about the advent of new baby, now quite a big bump. It looks almost surreal, seeing people outside without a coat, or even a jumper on.
Thoughts and energies have already turned to this summers performance – A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Widely regarded as one of the most popular and accessible of all The Immortal Bard’s work. I’m delighted that this is the play for this year – I’ve never seen it – but – having become a big fan of the productions from the past few years, I couldn’t imagine a better location to see it, or company to perform it.

My only ‘fear’ is that our new baby will possibly, at one time or another, howl like a, er..baby. But we’ll probably sit near the back, ready for a quick get-a-way.
But..

Not long now!
