Today we were taken to one of those hidden gems of a place that only the locals know about. After a beautiful walk through ancient woodland and huge pine forests – oozing a beautiful heady aroma of pine, we arrived in the magical little valley where we spent a very enjoyable hour or two.
Plunging into the pool and swimming under the waterfall itself was one of the most invigorating physical experiences I’ve had in a long time. Thalassotherapy at its finest. The tinglingly cold water on a hot day combined with the pressure of the waterfall smashing off the top of your head and shoulders was so enlivening.
We’re now back a the abbey and our friends from the north K & D and co, (with their dog Bruice) have just arrived. Beer O’Clock me things.
