As I sit here, typing this blog, I’m waiting for two things. The first being Felix. He wanted to do his own thing today – he’d made some friends and wanted to go laser questing (a game they’ve got here that’s a bit like paintball but with lasers.). It’s now 21:55, dark and I’m starting to get a bit worried. I’ve just walked round the whole site twice and checked out all the likely hangouts but can’t find him. Worried that he’s gone to the awful fair that’s in the town. He’s 14, and a sensible lad, but he’s not usually one to push the boundaries this far. I might go for a drive out in a bit. I may be being over paranoid though. There are loads of other teens still about and it all feels quite safe.. still – he should have let us know what he was doing.
The second thing I’m waiting for is a timelapse – as per the snap above that I took of the back of my camera as it was, in situ, gorilla podded to our balcony. I started it as the fog and mist clung to the lake this morning, and left it running all day at 1 min intervals – so when i bolt it together at 29 frames per second, it’ll compress the whole day into about 30 seconds. The moon has now risen (full moon) but I don’t know if it is in shot. I might go and look now.
Where is that boy?

UPDATE (22:12) – He’s back now. He ‘thought’ he had cleared it. Told off, hopefully lesson learned.
Oh jeez – I remember those times sooooo well with my girls (all grown up now) but still pushing the boundaries!
Have a fab holiday y’all x
Off to do a time lapse myself tonight (or tomorrow, depending on weather). Mysterious waterfall with variable flow rate, over about a 60 minute period.
How many frames per second should I play it back at? 24, 32? I see you wrote 29 for yours, any reason why you chose that particular prime number?
