Elsie (a dog) pictured above (a photo I took yesterday morning at sunrise on The Stray) is the subject of tonight’s blog post. She’s been out with Bruce (a dog, Elsie’s BFF) today. It’s always quite funny seeing Bruce and Elise interact – they were born days apart and have grown up together. Anyhoo…
I came home from work and asked Eirene (a wife) how the walk was. Turns out, Elsie was rather embarrassing. Elsie can be quite ‘pully’ on the lead dog when she’s excited, or at the start of a walk for a while. She was like this today, so, as they were so close to the official start point – a path into the fields – Eirene let Elsie off the lead – she’s really good when it comes to road sense so no worries there.
A second after Eirene let the rather excited Elsie off the lead she ran up the nearest drive and proceeded to have a massive poo, right in the middle of it. Just then, as Eirene was stooped in the middle of the drive, clearing up a humongous mother load of a deposit, the home owners returned in their rather large expensive car and had to pull up short, as they couldn’t get on their driveway due to the nappy sack clad handed Eirene. Eirene gestured “look I’m terribly sorry about all this” as best as she could under the circumstances (papoosed baby cradled with one arm, poo clearing activity with the other) whilst they looked on from their impromptu poo ringside position.
Meanwhile Elsie had got the wiff of freedom, and had nipped over to the next doors garden and, impervious to Eirene’s persuasive vocalisation, had a nice relaxing wee in the neighbours ornamental flowerbed.
Dogs eh? Who’d have em?
