This is Bruce. He’s Elsie’s best friend. They were born about a week apart from each other and have grown up together. He’s half Springer, half Tibetan Terrier. He’s ace. Today at lunchtime, we got to take Elsie round to his house today as Bruce’s masters had gone out for the day and asked Eirene if she wouldn’t mind popping round to let him out for a wee at lunch time. This was a nice, unexpected treat for me – I thought I was just going to wander home like usual, but when I heard of the chance of hanging out with two funty dogs in the sun for a bit, it made me smile.
You only have to whisper the word Bruce and Elsie gets all giddy. Whispering “Elsie” to Bruce has the same effect. They are quite amusing to watch. They play the jumpy on the head game, and run around in a big super fast circle game. (Elsie wins the latter). Sometimes, it looks like they are ripping each other to bits, but we know they are just playing – very boisterously. Funny dogs.
Other notable stuff of today – I had my three month review – at work (all good) and Jay had his parents evening. He’s doing really good. He’s got a few areas when he’s having to try extra hard – but I’m pleased to hear, on the whole, he’s giving it all his best shot. Good lad. All three of our school parents evenings went well, meaning we get to go out for a Chinese to celebrate next week sometime. Good work kids!
