Last Saturday a lovely friend made me the ultimate birthday cake. Four layers of different favoured sponge comprising of chocolate, chocolate caramel, vanilla and caramel. Generous amounts of caramel and chocolate cemented them together. As if that wasn’t enough the whole cake was then covered in chocolate. It looked amazing and tasted even better. I haven’t eaten it all myself, I have shared at least some of it, honest. Now there is just one slice left. A single slice of birthday magic to signal the end of birthday festivities and the beginning of my new year. This year I think I will take up a new hobby and make some time to learn something new.
