Wednesdays have turned into super busy days. This evening we have been to Finlay’s 12th birthday party which was lovely. Lots of friends, cake and balloons made for a fun filled time. Part way through Felix arrived, fresh from ‘HYPE’ a percussion club he attends. I excused Pi and I from the festivities to deliver her to Beavers, where she made up songs about washing hands and ran around yelling at the top of her voice. She isn’t the nosiest there, not even half way! That’s why Pi loves being a Beaver so much. She can be herself with no silly girlie falling’s out and huffing. Beavers is all about running around, shouting and having fun. Alison the leader is an oasis of calm amongst a storm of twenty 5-7 year old boys and Pi. I couldn’t do her job. I would go deaf, or mad, or both. Whilst Pi was enjoying herself, Jay was being tutored in maths. He thinks his maths tutor is brilliant but he doesn’t enjoy maths. Hopefully that will change the more confidence he gains in the subject. At school he has a maths exam tomorrow, tonight they are swotting up on the test topics so they will be nice and fresh in Jay’s mind. Felix is at Explorers tonight. Explorers is the next group up from Scouts. The order goes; Beavers age 5-7, Cubs age 7-10, Scouts age 10-15, Explorers age 15-18. Felix gets dropped off as Pi is collected. She is transported home and put to bed, then Jay, then eventually Felix and then it’s my turn, if I stay awake long enough.
