Jay caught the early train direct to London today to go and visit his aunt and uncle. Your first solo mission to London is a real rite of passage at Dragon drop. Felix has done it a few times but it was Jay’s first time. I think I was more nervous then him especially because the app I used ‘trainline.com wouldn’t let me choose where I wished him to sit. When I tried to change his seat to the quiet car, the staff at Harrogate train station had a very ‘it’s not our problem attitude’. It turns out his seats were ok, but I still would have preferred to choose. I am not sure why I preferred the quiet car, I think I have some strange idea that there are less wierdos in the quiet car. Certainly less noisy wierdos. Today is Gay pride in London. Should be an eye opener for Jay, if he notices. He will probably just think London is like that every day. Last time Felix visited he was accidently taken to a gay icecream bar. It was a while before he or his aunt and uncle noticed anything different about the icecream shop. Leather trousers and waistcoat are probably quite a good choice for uniform as leather does wipe clean. The penny dropped when perusing the menu they noted the descriptive language used to inform the customer about their icecream and the actual dish names were much more exotic then the usual ‘chocolate sundae’. By that time though they had a nice window seat and were really looking forward to an icecream, so decided to stay. The food was delicious and Felix’s aunt and uncle just hoped Felix hadn’t noticed that it was no ordinary icecream parlour. He had, but being a mature boy of the world in London figured it was simply another thread to the vibrantly coloured rug that is London town.
