It has happened all of a sudden that our eldest boy has outgrown all of his clothes. The only items that he has left that fit are his school clothes and no self respecting teenager wishes to wear those all the time. Normally I would do an Ebay sweep but since the boy in question cannot describe how he would like his new vestments to look or even what his colour preferences are, shopping the easy way is out of the question. In reality it meant going into town, on a Saturday, in the rain, with the baby to visit actual shops in order to replenish his wardrobe. Two shops later we had one pair of trainers, one pair of sandals, two new pairs of trousers in varying styles, a comfy flannel shirt, a new school bag and a much lighter bank account. Thank goodness we brought Annie in her chariot to transport it all home in.
