Today we visited Otley to collect a 40l cool box from Argos. I had done some research and uncovered a nice sounding riverside walk called Warfmeadows. The area was regenerated from disused paddling pool to a play park equipped with lots to amuse the children, a pleasant walk alongside the river, aquatic fowl to feed and grass for Elsie to run about on. Arriving in Otley we realised there was a food festival going on. Luckily we all love food so mooched happily through the stalls listening to music and soaking up the chilled atmosphere. Several tastings later we crossed over the bridge and walked down into Warfmeadows. The park was beautiful with lots of locals soaking up the sunshine. Although there was alot of people it didn’t feel crowded. Continuing on our walk we arrived at the play park. Again it was busy but there was plenty of space and equipment for the children to go on, new friends to make and a coffee shop to give the carers energy to keep up with the kids. Even Elsie found some.new friends to play with. I would definitely visit Warfmeadows again. It’s a delightful place and the only thing that would have made it better would be an area for the children to paddle in.
