Tinana is a vegetarian and used to having a small range of dishes to choose from when visiting a restaurant. Not tonight though, as tonight we dined at Prashad. The menu is completely vegetarian and vegan and filled with the most varied and delicious sounding cuisine. So delicious that the majority of our party chose the chefs talia, a starter, main and desert of the chefs choosing. It did take quite alot of trust to allow someone else to decide what I was going to eat. Everyone was given something different nicely presented in individual dishes on a single plate. My favourite was the pea paneer. Prashad is famous because they can make even okra tasty much to Chef Gordon Ramsey amazement. It’s true, I tried the okra and it was lovely. All the food was brilliant, as was the drinks menu, serving a range of local ales, fabulous sounding cocktails and mocktails. Next time Matt can drive as I am intrigued by the idea of brandy soaked cherries bruleed mixed with chocolate and rum liquor and spiced long Island ice tea. Vodka steeped in clove,Saffron and fennel then added to the usual ice tea combo. I would absolutely recommend Prashad as a great curry house. Fat and full we headed home doggy bag in hand for Matt and Jay to relive the Prashad experience for lunch tomorrow.
