Now that the weather has turned wet and windy my washing can no longer be hung outside to dry. Instead it resides flung over banisters and towel airers in the hope it will dry before getting smelly. All the landings look like a Chinese laundry and there is a feeling of having to fight through the washing to get from the top of the house to the bottom. I will really appreciate it when the season settles down and I can get the washing outside again.
