Happy Paddy’s day to all our Irish or Ireland dwelling friends and relatives! It’s three years since I delivered this beautiful bundle of joy.
We’ve had a lovely day of celebration. I cracked on super early working from home and broke the back of what I needed to do in time to go to her nursery around mid day. It’s the most amazing place – Rigg Farm. A Montessori pre school just outside Harrogate. We got to bask in warm sun, see some Kune Kune pigs and piglings that they have there before heading in for a special thing that they do on birthdays. Accompanied by photos.. one at zero, one at 1 year old, 2 and 3, she walked around a candle signifying the sun, showing the photos of her at each stage to her class mates. One lap, one year. She walked around with the planet earth finally. This struck me as quite special – who says they’re too young to learn about astro physics?
Our second party of the day involved 4 little girls and a Sophie making easter bonnets and planting tomato seeds in decorated pots at our house. After this, a bit more work and normality before our third party of the day around tea time which involved close relatives and God parents. And cake. Lots of cake.
Will she assume that there’s to be 4 parties next birthday? This pattern could get interesting!
