This reminds me of how amazed I was the first time I managed to photo blog to DragonDrop.org without the use of a cable attaching my keyboard to a wall somehow. 13 years ago, I ‘field blogged a photo’ (from an actual field) for the first time using wireless GPRS to connect to the internet via a 9210 communicator and infra-red to connect to my device (a Casio WQV-10).
13 years later, I’m doing 512mph, 36k foot up and I’m on broadband. Dear Future Self.. what on earth (?) does technology look like in another 13 years?
This is the highest height and latitude I’ve ever blogged at – as well as being 36000 feet, I’m around 61 deg’s north.
