No
real rason dêtre, but the history is that
we called our house 'DragonDrop'.
Dragondrop.org's first regular content was provided by the watchcam stuff, later a blog, then a forum and more recently, the shirts. It's also a dumping ground for info, ramblings
& pictures and it's a development workbench
for several Internet experiments.
The forum (now dead, RIP) gathered around 100 members who created some 1500 post covering a vast range of subjects. The watchcam community also utilised an area the forum for it's own needs. FIRE was largely spawned and informed from the 'DragonDrop community'. More recently comments have been added to the blog and these have been the medium for several heated online warblings on the articles relating to shenanigans.
The site was predominantly designed and built using Photoshop and Dreamweaver amongst other software including a bit of good
ol' notepad. Now, It's Macromedia Studio MX 2004 that does all the hard work. The regular updates are done via blogger.
What is a blog?
The (now dead) forum was a YaBB (Yet Another Bulletin Board) cgi / pl based forum engine, skinned to fit in.
