Tonight Maria and I are taking in some of the finer Harrogate drinking establishments whilst Matt and Al record a new rife radio show. Felix is on baby squishing duty and tomorrow the children and I are taking Matt out for a surprise treat. We are very excited and I hope he really likes it.
Today was world book day. Sophie went to school dressed as one of goldilocks’s three bears or as she secretly knew, in her pyjamas. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of her but I did get a picture of Annie-Mo and her friend playing with rice and lavender at the kitchen table. They happily sat, quietly engrossed, pouring and scooping… Read more →
Today Matt and I are experimenting with the fast diet other wise known as the 5:2. My birthday celebrations started Friday evening with a ‘pink pants party’. A novel Sophie and I had been reading together explained how pink pants ward off any Friday the 13th nastiness. I was listening to Sophie reading out loud to me this morning. I had to stop her and get her to sound out a word when she mentioned ‘Jesus and his twelve apostrophes’.
Today in town Sophie stood mesmerised by a lady playing violin. Sophie is always drawn to the sound of the violin and loves watching and listening to fellow violinists playing. The lady didn’t seem perturbed by the little girl giving her a Paddington bear hard stare as she busked.
How different from one night to the next. Tonight I am sat in Rift bar drinking my complimentary cocktail from their new menu. The music is funky and the bar isn’t too busy yet. The new menu is filled with sweet options but tonight I settled for a long Island ice tea… Matt’s favourite. Let’s get the weekend off to… Read more →

This evening, Matt took these gorgeous pictures of himself and Annie-Mo.
On Saturday we visited the Museum Of Film and Photography in Bradford. Matt had heard of an exhibition by Joan Fotcuberta called Stranger then Fiction. We were treated to wierd and wonderful creatures created by blending different animals together then photographed. Joan would then invent a Latin name and history for the animal. Sophie had a great time making a snowman today with her friends after school
Here’s a photo of the rarely seen Felixus Teenageboyikus (often abbreviated to Felix) in a relaxed state inspecting Dada’s new smart watch. It may be many years before another moment comes to photograph this fabulous creature in his natural environment.
I just did a lovely thing, I typed Felix and Jaygo into Google images. There are some really lovely pictures reminding me of great past times.
