Adventure

What have the Romans ever done for us? Given us the Latin ‘adventurus’; meaning ‘about to happen’, from advenire ‘arrive’. That’s what.

The ‘Adventure’ part of the ‘DragonDrop Adventures’ moniker, was spawned from “Watchcam Adventures”. Now defunct, but once the world’s leading forum on all things watch camera. Now-a-days, the ‘Adventure’ category is the flag bearer for new, unusual, exciting or daring experiences.

Other significant happenings today – I got some new glasses… Read more →

Trossachs

Trossachs

I like living in this day and age. The lifestyle benefits and technical trappings really are quite marvelous. I can transport my family to a different country for a weekend without too much bother. It really does tickle my fancy. We so often take it all for granted.  Roads where you can safely and comfortably maintain over 60 mph for hours on… Read more →

Popped up to Scotland. The south Trossachs, in the MacDonald Forest Hills Hotel and Resort on the banks of Loch Ard to be specific. It’s very nice. Clicky click clicky clickety

Sat outside a supermarket waiting for wife and daughter to forage. The car is silent apart from a very faint clicking noise emitted from the two boys. Shall I try blogging every day this year?

Shall I try blogging every day this year?

.. I mean, that’s gonna be a lot of waffle, intermingled with my usual in depth musings. Worried that one won’t be able to see the wood for the trees. However, it’ll be an interesting project and this year is kind of a big deal, so it might work out although we’ve not got any major off site adventures planned…yet…. Read more →

KTHNXBAI 2012, oh HAI 2013!

Thumbnails from my instagram faves set on flickr What a year it’s been. Sometime around this time of year I get a bit reflective and retrospective. I did exactly 10 years ago today anyway, in a post entitled New Years Eve in 2002, which included a trip to Australia and a couple to Amsterdam, seeing the best gig of my life,… Read more →
