M’colleague’s husband plays bass trombone in the Hade Edge Brass Band. They were playing today in the Band Stand, Wetherby. We wandered along on the wind of wondering if the ‘come along’ suggestion would come good. It did. Particularly, this bit: … Dave Smith on the Euphonium – Impressive Grandfathers Clock work. The whole band was a treat to watch… Read more →
It’s hard to believe that this girl is 5 today. The years are flying by. Felix is nearly 18, Jaygo is 15 Sophie is 10, Annie is exactly 3 and a half today. We had a great adventure this morning. The Chevin – the ridge above Otley in North Yorkshire no only has an incredible vista to the north, you… Read more →
Happy Paddy’s day to all our Irish or Ireland dwelling friends and relatives! It’s three years since I delivered this beautiful bundle of joy. We’ve had a lovely day of celebration. I cracked on super early working from home and broke the back of what I needed to do in time to go to her nursery around mid day. It’s… Read more →
Every year we make a calendar full of images we’ve taken through the year of our family. Sometimes, I’ll take a photo and think.. That’s [inset month here] sorted. I like this photo, so chances are, it’ll make the calendar cut. It was taken on a beautiful walk a few of us took just before lunch (Russian New Year Salad)… Read more →
Matt sent me a gorgeous picture of Sophie and Annie which I thought I would share with you.
Annie has her own unique way of saying banana. It sounds a little like ‘ blalalalalalalalalala’. It’s very cute and everyone in the house gets her to say it as often as possible. Here is a picture of her modeling her new potty. I hope she doesn’t try to do this at home.
Annie and her friend Ozzie had a wonderful time at Harrogate and Knaresborough Toy Library’s outdoor play session. At £3 a session they really are very good value. The sun shone and it was the perfect day to spend some time outside playing in mud and water and generally having a fantastic time. Annie and Ozzie borrowed waterproofs and wellies… Read more →
Annie-mo, Elsie and I enjoyed a walk with Elsie’s best friend Bruce and his lovely owner. Sitting on the grass watching Annie experiencing a field of buttercups for the first time, I took some photographs trying to frame that perfect moment in the sunshine. Later on, the sky decided to put on her best colours. One last spectacular finale before… Read more →
I was having a bit of a special dada and daughter moment with Annie. Just her and I were snuggled up on my bed. I had a camera within reach, so I grabbed in and took a few close up snaps – nothing special or new. I noticed how fascinated in the object Annie (age 7 months) was. She… Read more →
I’ve just spent over 20 minutes on hold. I’m just ‘putting it out there’ that NatWest should perhaps consider changing their hold music. If they do insist on being a one track pony then they’ve got a commitment to only make you listen to their one track, once. Maximum. After 10 minutes and several restarts of the smokey, attention seeking,… Read more →
Exactly 6 months ago today, I delivered Annie Mo, in our hallway. Since then, our little owl has blossomed into a beautiful baby girl. It’s amazing how, looking back over such a relatively short period, she has grown and changed, and formed into a character of her own. Our St. Patrick’s Day baby, is a joy to behold. Exactly 2… Read more →
I went down to London today for a quick meeting with someone who I can’t mention. A big household name of a brand though, I was quite in awe. Nice bunch of people, I’m rather hoping it’s the start of good things. After my gig and quick de-brief over a coffee with the two people from ‘our side’ I went… Read more →
One of the highlights of today was seeing what a box full of wigs looked like on Annie (aged 5 months). We were round at T&Fs house and they happened to have a box full of wigs. Eirene and Sophie spent a considerably long time trying on each wig on poor old Annie before using the resultant scene as the subject for… Read more →
I watched Annie (aged 5 months and a bit) discover her hands earlier. A look of intense concentration overcame her visage as she first looked at her hand from one angle then moved it then looked at it from another angle and moved it. I could be wrong but I think I witnessed something quite significant. A moment where she… Read more →
At just under 2 months, Annie Mo is now smiling properly. These are not windy smiles but genuine happy smiles. I captured this the other day and thought I’d share. I’m so glad I captured one of her first smiles on video – I love the way her whole face breaks into a beaming smile. You may spot the scrawls on… Read more →
