I’ve just got some film back from the lab. I shot most if it on the stag do in Dentdale I went on recently. Semi good results. Semi. The above diptych just about saves the roll though. Cool shirt, cool guys. The film was “Fujichrome Provia 1600 daylight” that went out of date nearly 14 years ago. The film is… Read more →
A couple of weeks ago, I found an old camera : A Kodak Instamatic – with a now defunct 126 film cassette, still inside. I decided to risk wasting a few quid to see if there was anything on it by sending it off to be processed at a specialist lab. This morning, it arrived back from the lab and I… Read more →
I’ve cited a fella called Lomokev a couple of times recently and how I like his work. I asked myself what I liked about his work, and came up with some stuff that can’t be replicated or emulated – like his natural gift, or the ‘right time, right place’ factor, but I figured I could at least have a go at emulating… Read more →
A lomography fisheye is a marvellous bit of kit. It’s got a 170 degree super wide angle lens. I’d loaded it with an out of date roll of German film called Paradises 200, stuck a ringflash on the front with 4 different coloured gels over the flash heads. Mashed up colours and shapes. It makes an ‘ordinary’ object, like a… Read more →

The results are this strange colour cast – greenish with punchy reds. I like it. It’s called ‘cross processing’ or XPRO for short. A really constructive,… Read more →

The first thing you might want do is click this link to the Family catagory and bookmark it. Anything I put on DragonDrop to do with family will appear… Read more →
Unexpectedly, I got two disks in the post this morning. A couple of weeks ago I’d posted a couple of film off to be processed – one of which, I’d forgotten about for years. The nerdy short-hand of what’s going on here: Deadstock Provia tranny, shot with a SMENA 8M and a Lomo Fisheye with colour ringflash Xpro’d through C41…. Read more →
93780030, originally uploaded by DragonDrop. SO I wonder what this dog intends to launch. I’ve just uploaded a load of images into my flickr space that I took on my LOMO smena 8m and cross processed.
