Today in town Sophie stood mesmerised by a lady playing violin. Sophie is always drawn to the sound of the violin and loves watching and listening to fellow violinists playing. The lady didn’t seem perturbed by the little girl giving her a Paddington bear hard stare as she busked.
I am sat writing this in a church hall surrounded by children from the scouting movement, rehearsing for this year’s ‘Gang Show’. Sophie is stood at the front of the crowd singing her little heart out. She loves preforming so Gang Show is perfect for her. Sophie had a great time making a snowman today with her friends after school

Sophie has had a poem she wrote published in an anthology of poems by children from her school. I am so proud of her. I love the images she evokes of the animals in their different habitats and the way she moves from the fast exciting section with polar bears and crocodiles to finishing off with the sleepy hippo.
Often at new year people like to reflect on the previous year. This time can be seen as a good opportunity to change the things we aren’t happy with and to set goals to improve our everyday life.
