Spent an evening in the beautiful Hotel Majestic Harrogate last night. I was taking photos of a corporate awards do and after party and helping out my mate Allan with a bit of tech. Free steak and bar was quite a draw. It's a while since I've covered a gig like that. Funtastic. Good band, and bumped into an old mate who used to manage a club in Leeds who now works for the company I was photographing. I took a bunch of photos, some of them are ace (even though I say so myself), but I'm not going to put up any of the ace ones on here, because the company hasn't seen them yet and that might be construed as a bit on the unprofessional side. Instead, I chose a rather poor quality test shot of Al shaking hands with his invisible friend.
Managed to have a full and constructive 9-5 today as well, with (advantage of working from home today) a siesta in my lunch hour.
In other news, Elsie (a dog) is coming into her first heat. She's also just had a massive abscess on the outside of her neck, which burst out. The vet thinks it was possibly a splinter or something stuck under the skin and the body (amazing thing that it is) built up a protective wall and isolated the foreign object before ejecting it from the body.
Currently got a house full of kids. I'm hidden in a corner typing away at this as a decidedly "It'll end in tears" by the sound of it format game unfolds around the house. I'm off out to record RIFE RADIO [2026 review : Oops, dead now. Get well soon] shortly. Got some ace choons for this weeks show.
Oh, Sophie is now howling. Must be off!
