The children have decided that bacon sandwiches are the best sandwich filling for pack lunches. Jay and Felix take it in turns to burn the bacon and fill the house with smoke at 9 o'clock at night. If Sophie prepares her sandwich in advance one of the boys pops her cooked bacon into it. Sometimes this system works sometimes it doesn't. Sophie has gone to school with ketchup sandwiches because Felix couldn't find her sandwich to fill so had double bacon all to himself. Sometimes Jay grills the bacon sometimes he tries to fry it. Always he makes a massive smokey mess but it's his mess and at least the kids are working together and taking control of their pack lunches.
