Tip top night. It got to about 21:30 and there was no one in the house. Why am I doing this, thought I - it was empty. My wingman had pulled out at the last minute for personal reasons (he turned up later though) which…

(Last night's) FIRE party photos
Round Hill Round RainbowAfter a day of oversized portions and undersized exercise yesterday, I woke up this morning, feeling like I wanted to go on a burst of adventure. I scoured the maps and found a suitable looking geocache as a target,…
HorsefaceographyAt B & C's party last Saturday evening, I snapped some excellent horse face photographs, including this one... Hosf'sography is one of the most fun things you can do with a digital camera and a flash at a house party.…
Morning TimelapseA rather stunning sky accompanied me on my walk into work this morning - yes THIS morning. Due to a very long and quite dull story involving a bunch of my colleagues in Bulgaria, I elected to work today in Lieu of a day…

3 portraits of 3 people all looking to the leftI just got a film back today. Shot with my OM10 on Kodak Ektar 100. Out of all of them, these three were ones that I quite liked. They are all of people looking over there. Where? Over there.
"The impossible photograph""The impossible photograph, that's really what's at the heart of my work" Richard Mosse. When I mentioned in my blog post last night that I'd like to try out some colour infraded film, old friend and fine art…
I'm selling a bunch of camerasI've been crafting an eBay listing today. They're having one of those 'no insertion fee' weekends, so I decided to exploit it by selling the above 'job lot' of cameras. The one in the bottom middle is my favourite out…
The Jony Ive LeicaIt's interesting, using the internet to look back on a story. Just over a year ago, I (vaguely) recall a story that was bubbling away in which Apple's Chief Designer; Jony Ive, was commissioned along with Marc Newson to…
Olympus OM10. Nice Bokeh!I love the phrase 'nice bokeh'. It's a über nerdy photography thing to say. Bokeh is my favourite word from the whole world of photography. It's from a Japanese word that concerns the aesthetic qualities of ‘the blur’ /…
Brown EyesToday has comprised of going to Christchurch on The Stray this morning then a party this afternoon. Sophie had a starring role at church - a reading type thing - she got to stand in the pulpit. Lovely service. Good ol'…
